Hello!

I am glad you found your way to my little corner of the internet. I am Deepak, and I am enjoying life's journey with my wonderful family: Kavita (spouse), Shreehan (son), and Takshaya (daughter).

When I am not teaching or working on a research problem, I am usually exploring a new place and learning how people there live. Travel has taught me to look beyond my own habits and has given me a deep appreciation for diversity and for nature. Nature, in particular, shapes how I work as a researcher. It is full of complex systems that are worth understanding as they are, without trying to change them, and I approach supply networks in much the same way. These experiences also shape how I treat people, in the classroom and outside it, with fairness and respect for different backgrounds. My career has taken me across cities and continents, and each move has added to that perspective.
